I have been using this TV for about a month and a half now. I used this product mainly with Samsung Blu Ray player using HDMI cable connection. The picture quality is just superb. Besides, the on screen menu is easy to understand and it required minimum deviations from default factory setting.

The only minor complain I have is the sensitivity of the remove control unit. I have to point directly at the TV in order for it to work. Other than that, this Samsung TV is as good as it get.

Sony Bravia XBR KDL-52XBR6 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV tv reviews

The good:
Produces the deepest black levels of any non-LED LCD TV we've tested; accurate color temperature and color decoding; solid dejudder video processing; numerous picture controls; comprehensive complement of inputs including four HDMI and one PC; optional different-colored speaker grilles; smart styling; energy efficient.

The bad:
Expensive; some color accuracy issues; black levels fluctuate somewhat in dark scenes; below-average screen uniformity; dejudder modes produce artifacts.

The bottom line:
The 52-inch Sony KDL-52XBR6 LCD is a bit too expensive for the level of picture quality it delivers, but its styling and best-in-class black levels help its case.

I thought long and hard about which TV to get. I watched prices, shopped around and studied up on the features of all the TV's I was looking at for months. I got it down between the Sony W series and the Samsung 6 and 7 series 52 inchers.

All 3 TV's have incredible picture quality. Can't go wrong with either Samsung or Sony. For myself it came down to cabinet appearance. I know, seems insignificant, but it matters to some. The Sony has that silver speaker bar along the bottom that I find unattractive. I like the way the Samsungs look. Granted they have that "touch of color" reddish hue to the bezel, for the most part it looks black.

They both offered similar feature sets. I believe the 7 series added some audio benefits over the 6 series. I believe the speakers on the 7 series are upgraded over the 6 series. I also like the square stand it sits on rather than the oval one the 6 series has. Furthermore, the price difference between the 6 and the 7 at times was only $50, so why not go for the higher model!

As far as picture quality goes, its really incredible on HD sources. Directv and blu ray are pretty unbelievable. Striking and vivid colors, no artifacts on the screen so far, so the 120Hz must be doing its job. I believe the Sony might have a better menu system and perhaps better OTA antenna reception, but that's judging from the Sony LCD I have in my bedroom. This TV is definitely worth it.

I am ready to pull the trigger on this one as I have been standing in BB too long and checking this LCD out against the other brands. I care less about the remote problems as this will hang on a bedroom wall.

Sony Bravia W-Series KDL-52W4100 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV tv reviews

I ordered the Sony KDL-52W4100 on a Monday. it was delivered Thursday afternoon - and I paid $0 shipping - as well as $0 sales tax - over a $200 savings combined. Amazon's price was the same as the big box retailers in my area. But, in addition to the sales tax issue, neither of the local outlets had the TV in stock. That meant waiting on shipment anyway - and they wanted to charge me a shipping/delivery fee.

As for quality, I buy Sony for a reason. This TV doesn't disappoint me at all. The picture is spectacular! I have it connected to a DirecTV HD receiver, but am currently only receiving my local channels in HD. The HD channels are brilliant - but even the non-HD satellite channels are incredible.

I found the TV easy to set up. The onscreen menus were easy to follow. I haven't begun to dig into the more advanced features - I'm still enjoying the amazing quality of Sony combined with HDTV. I bought this model mainly for the 120HZ Motionflow technology. I turned it on during setup - and haven't yet turned the feature off to compare the difference between 120HZ and 60HZ.

If you want quality, buy Sony. If you want to be amazed, buy the KDL-52W4100. If you want a good deal, buy from Amazon.

This was a Christmas gift scheduled delivery by Christmas did not receive until 12/30/08 was disappointed. The tv was easy to set up with all other components. The color seems dark. I do not have hdmi cables which I am going try to see if picture improves. This tv stands up well to a bright lit room the picture stays bright. Over all I recommend this tv priced right and stylish.

I purchased two of these for a gift to our family. I had been shopping around and this price beat every one else. We couldn't be happier with our new TV's. I was very happy with the delivery. Man brought them in and unpacked them, plugged them in and turned them on. Delivery was great.
The Tv's have a wonderful picture. We have surround sound on one and the other just using the speakers on the TV. I am very happy with my purchase and will not hesitate to buy from Amazon.com. This is my first major purchase from Amazon and it will not be my last.

My TV was delivery yesterday. It's still in the box in my living room. The supposed WhiteGlove service is cheating.

We bought TVs from local store before, every time the TV was set up. I would advise people to buy TV from local store.

We've had this TV for ~2 months and love it. We have our cable box connected to a Yamaha RX-V863 AV Receiver via HDMI which is connected to the TV's HDMI port 1. We also hooked up the same cable box connected directly to the TV's Component port. This allows my wife and I watch enjoy the TV with high quality surround sound while allowing our Nanny to turn on Noggin/Sprout for our child without the need for the AV Receiver via the Component input source.

There is a slight difference between HDMI and Component quality. Nothing major for a child. The TV sound is pretty good, but it does not beat having an AV system.

Other than that, I don't think I can add anything else that has not already been written.

Only had this TV for a few days now (got it on 12/5/08). Ordered it with Amazon and it arrived within a week with no issues.

So far I love it - the picture looks so amazing. Upgraded from a 45" Projection LCD I've had for about 5 years now and I feel like I'm watching HDTV for the first time again.

Has more inputs then I'll ever need - can't see me ever using up all 5 HDMI ports. Even tried hooking up my Laptop through the VGA port and it was crystal clear.

Can't really comment on the speakers since I'm using a receiver/surround system. So far I haven't found any issues with it, but I've only had it for 4 days so I'll keep you posted if anything new comes up...
