Audiovox 12" 720p Under-Cabinet LCD TV/DVD Combo - KLV3913 tv reviews

We have only had this for a week, but we are very pleased. It does have that high pitch sound, but found if we keep a disc in, it is soo much quieter. We bought the 3yr. hassle free, extended warranty from Target for $29, I think you can purchase it for 90 days after purchase (may have to show a Target receipt, but it is a "generic: all electronics $200-$300", so maybe could purchase separately. We usually don't buy these extended warranties, but what a deal, glad we did! I didn't think we needed such a big screen for a small kitchen, but I love it. I like the dvd, the am/fm radio, great picture, etc. great features, very easy to install and use!

LG 47LG70 47-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV tv reviews

After over a month of painstaking online research, I purchased the 47LG70 over all others as I felt it offered the most value for the money. The 4 x HDMI inputs were key (we're already using 3 of them with the HD cable box, PS3 and the Roku box for streaming Netflix).

I do not regret the purchase one bit. The HD channels, particularly the sports and network channels are astounding. We watched Ice Age on TV on Christmas Eve and I could barely believe my eyes. PS3 games look better than I could describe here.

Once you get comfortable with the many picture and audio options, you will love it. Kudos LG!

I brought this TV last week, I got good deal on [...] along with free Blueray DVD Player LG BD300. I have not installed the Blue ray yet. The picture quality is very good. I have connected my Standard def Direct tv, using the SVideo and the quality is good. I am totally happy with the purchase. This one does not have 120MHZ, which I think is overrated.
The sound quality is good, but not great, I think you need external speakers for it. I would highly recommend it you are looking a decent TV at a good price.

Anand.

LG 47LG60 47-Inch 1080p 120hz LCD HDTV, Gloss Piano Black with Scarlet Red tv reviews

kitchen appliance reviews LG 47LG60 47-Inch 1080p 120hz LCD HDTV, Gloss Piano Black with Scarlet Red
When I first started looking for an HDTV for my husband and did some research I had decided to purchase a smaller Bravia or possibly a Vizio. We walked into Best Buy and started looking at the specs on various models just to get ideas. I had read earlier in the day that you should ignore the picture of the TV while in a retail store and only look at the hardware esthetics and the specs as some retailers will try to make certain expensive models look better than other models.

With that in mind we began our actual comparisons and found that the models on the walls with the best specs were all well over $2000. We had decided that we definitely needed the 120hz rather than the 60hz in order to ensure we had the TV for a longer period of time and we wanted the 1080p not the 1080i. After browsing and beginning to think we were going to have to go with a smaller 42" TV for the price point we wanted to stay with we met a salesperson who showed us this TV. The picture was great, the specifications were better than the Bravia's and Vizio's we were looking at and the sale price was $1299.00! We continued to review the specs and looking for the hitch. We could not find one.

We decided to bring the TV home that night with the understanding that we could return it within 30 days if we decided to but we have now had it for four weeks and we absolutely love it. We sit about 6-7 feet from the TV and the picture is clear, the TV easy to use and we have had to switch our DVR recordings over to the HD channels because everything on the regular channels looks awful because the picture is so good. Note: the contrast ratio on this TV is 50,000:1 vs. the 30,000:1 you typically see on much higher priced TV's.

We are very happy with our choice of TV and wouldn't switch it out with anything else we have seen.

Vizio 47" 1080p LCD HD TV - VO47L FHDTV tv reviews

I bought this item refurbished from Tiger Direct (through Amazon) at $750. Boy was I please with this purchase. All the other reviewers have covered great points, but if you're into gaming, this is a great 47 inch to have in front of you. At 6500:1 contrast and 5 ms response time all your next gen games will look flawless. Plenty of inputs, I have both a PS3 and a 360 hooked up through HDMI (which leaves me two free ports by the way), a cable box through component inputs, and my laptop through VGA.

My favorite feature is the "Enhanced Contrast" mode you can turn on through the menus. What that does is take into account the current image on the monitor and alters the contrast based on it. It's surreal when you're playing a game, walk from indoors to a sunny outdoors, and the screen brightens up just like you would experience in real life. The same goes for the opposite. This really put an extra oomph in my gaming experience.

So bottom line is, if you're looking for a 47 inch that won't cost $1600, but would act like one that would, consider this TV.

I love this TV. I have had it for over 6 months now and is just as good, if not better than the more expensive brands. It has a great color and looks amazing in HD! Don't waste $500 extra dollars on some other TV because of the name at the bottom of the screen. Trust me, this TV is the best!

Westinghouse 40" 1080p LCD TV/DVD Combo - VK-40F580D tv reviews

kitchen appliance reviews Westinghouse 40" 1080p LCD TV/DVD Combo - VK-40F580D
This is a very nice model from Westinghouse. The picture is very nice and HD looks great. SD is also acceptably good and better than most lcds I have seen.

Pros:
1080P LCD - Great for Bluray
Adjustments are kept in memory for each input
Backlighting control
Progressive scan DVD player is convenient and looks great
Audio is pretty good
Stylish
USB Memory stick input

Cons:
Needs some tweaking out of the box - but this is acceptable
Black levels are good but not as good as a plasma - a problem for all lcd tvs.

Vizio GV47LF 47" LCD HDTV Television - 1920 x 1080, 1080p Native, 8ms, 1600:1 Contrast Ratio, HDMI, ATSC Tuner, Refurbished tv reviews

I'm not a TV Techie,I simply love TV as entertainment. The picture quality is exceptional, beyond what you expect. I'm getting some channels in HD (prior to February '09) and it is AMAZING in clarity, and the sound is wonderful. My only regret is that I waited two years to buy it.

I also believe you can't get a Vizio LCD that is too big for your room, there is no such thing as too big...get the biggest you can afford. My TV room is small and this was a consideration but no longer, I'd buy even bigger now that I've lived with it for close to two years, for all my rooms!

If you love TV...my advice, don't wait to upgrade to this technology...it is light years ahead of those old models. Big, big difference!

I love my 47" Vizio LCD, money well spent at any price.

Philips 47PFL7432D/37 47-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV with Ambilight tv reviews

kitchen appliance reviews Philips 47PFL7432D/37 47-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV with Ambilight
This is my first big screen I've owned. Its a great TV, great quality sound, video.

Few negative key points though -- the TV takes about 10 seconds to turn on from the moment you press the on button. Secondly, when you're flipping through channels I like the kind of TV that flips through channels instantly not with a 2 second lag, other than that the TV is awesome!

One thing I absolutely love is the Ambilight feature. Its awesome watching movies and having a nice dark room and dark setting with the ambilight feature on. And you can choose how you want it, whether you want it dynamic, relaxed or moderate. Its a great feature for an LCD.
