I received my TV on Sept. 26. I cannot say one negative thing about the TV or the remote that some people have found to be troublesome. The picture is just amazing, the sound is great. I was going to purchase the 46" 550 series but backed off due to comments regarding the sound. Glad I went for the extra $$$ for the 650 series. The delivery from CEVA was not as great. They showed up as scheduled and brought the TV in and set it up in no time, but between them hooking it up wrong and the HD cable box not working correctly, I was not able to get HDTV until Saturday which required a visit from my cable company. It was clear that the delivery guys, though nice, were in a rush to get out and move on. I felt they were more concerned about making sure they got a gratuity, than making sure the TV was set up properly. All in all, this was a good experience. If you go this route just make sure your TV is up and running before the delivery guys leave your house.

After looking at many LCD TV's and considering sizes for a couple years, we went with this one and we are glad we did for the price. We originally wanted to get a Sony after all the reviews, but a little to pricey for us at this point. Since I work at Amazon, and have a discount we can use, we started checking out the prices and possibilities there. We were impressed with the prices and options even without the discount. After considering the specs on this product and the price with those specs we went with the Samsung, even though we were worried about the reviews we read about Samsung having the biggest issues with screen reflections from windows and lights. Over the past few months of ownership we have found this TV really has no serious problems with reflections since we have two windows and plenty of light. The picture is awesome. I really enjoy the screen size button on the remote so I can quickly adjust to the best screen size with different cable channels and movies. It has several choices. I like being able to hook up my laptop computer to it as a monitor so I can watch videos off the internet from Amazon's Video on Demand, Hulu, Netflix, etc. for larger picture and sound to run through our stereo receiver. We will eventually have a Computer Media Center for the TV to do the same thing. The remote is easy to use and to understand. I will agree with others that reviewed this product that the sound directly from the TV is not that great, but they are just TV speakers. The TV was created I think for a home theater situation, which is what we have. We have moved to a smaller place and downsized from a Sony 61" projection big screen TV to this. Big change, but our living room is a third the size of our previous TV room. We love the TV and the picture, especially on HD channels.

We can not get anything done since it arrived last week - our eyes are glued to it!

My anticipated concerns were
1. the touch of color - not a problem and not even noticed
2. Stationary base - no problem. easy to adjust and move if one needs to.
3. Ceva shipping - could not have been better. With free shipping I got the TV in 4 days and they were most accomodating in meeting my time requests. The set up includes taking it out of the box, placing it where you want it in your home, checking for physical damage and making sure sound is heard and it turns on. The rest of the set up is up to you. They were great.

It was recommended to buy Monster HDMI 1000HD ultra-high speed HDMI cable and Monster HTS 1000 MKII or III powercenter with clean power stage 2 to receive the ultimate HD quality of the TV. So we did and they work perfectly with this tv.

And for those who are remote challenged.......a logitech harmony one universal remote is a no brainer to use.

We love this TV and would recommend it to those looking for a quality LCD TV. Who needs to go to the theater when you have this in your home!

I do not own this tv, but i did through research and found that if money is the issue, better choice would be Samsung-LN46A850-46, this has much better picture quality.

If, still want to purchase "Sony" I would recommend XBR6, which is 80% better than Z Series with all DNLA

We just received this tv and it is wonderful. Granted, this is our first HDTV, but we are awestruck by the color saturation and the clarity. Better yet, the price was right. We got it for $1419 with free shipping. It arrived in less than a week.

We researched the HDTV's & went several times to different stores to see the picture quality. This set is as near to perfection that we could find. The size is perfect for our room(12x11). The quality of color, vividness & definition allows you to see every crease & wrinkle on the face. Color is life like & sharp so that your experiencing almost a 3D quality. We purchased the set from Amazon getting the best price around. Shipping took longer than expected but the wait was worth it. I highly recommend this set over a Samsung (which was our 2nd. choice). The glass screen on Samsung reflected everything. Amazon's white glove service set everything up for us so that we only had to sit & enjoy.

It's just as most of the other reviews have said. It's a fantastic tv, well worth the price in my opinion, and I'd buy another, if I could go back in time and do it over.

Samsung LN46A630 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color tv reviews

I have been watching LCD prices for 2 years. 40 inch LCDs have been dropping $50 per month for the last 6 months and it seems to have reached a plateau and may drop only $25 a month for the next 6 months. 46 inch has been dropping $100 per month the past 6 months and will drop $50 to $70 per month for the next 6 months.

I just bought this one, but i recommend waiting 6 more months if 46 inch is "your size" because losing $50 to $70 per month is a lot just to have a bigger TV. Samsung and sony are the best LCDs and this is the best price on a 46 inch Samsung and is as good as any other 46 inch LCD samsung makes, but $800 less. The "better" 46 inch Samsungs are thinner, a little brighter, about 8% lighter, and have something called "infolink" that brings in active content like sports scores and stock prices. The 60% increase in price for the other 46 inch Samsungs is too much difference right now for too little improvement in my opinion. They will come down in price $100 per month until getting to this price. The 630 is a smaller number than the 850 or 950, but the 630 is only 2 months old.

This at $1370 is the lowest price on the internet right now, 10/6/2008 if it's free shipping and no tax. Circuit city is selling it for $1700 plus tax.

The TV arrived as promised. The TV itself is outstanding - awesome picture quality, sounds is great, 180 degree viewing angle, more than enough connection ports and most of all, easy to use remote. I highly recommend this HDTV to everyone!

Beautiful picture, but then our last "new" tv was 10 years old. Only complaint - it will not pick up most of the current digital stations offered by our local channels. Sharp says the problem is with our antenna, which is not that old.
