Audiovox 12" 720p Under-Cabinet LCD TV/DVD Combo - KLV3913 tv reviews

kitchen appliance reviews Audiovox 12" 720p Under-Cabinet LCD TV/DVD Combo - KLV3913
We have only had this for a week, but we are very pleased. It does have that high pitch sound, but found if we keep a disc in, it is soo much quieter. We bought the 3yr. hassle free, extended warranty from Target for $29, I think you can purchase it for 90 days after purchase (may have to show a Target receipt, but it is a "generic: all electronics $200-$300", so maybe could purchase separately. We usually don't buy these extended warranties, but what a deal, glad we did! I didn't think we needed such a big screen for a small kitchen, but I love it. I like the dvd, the am/fm radio, great picture, etc. great features, very easy to install and use!

Sceptre 32" 1080p Widescreen LCD HDTV - X32BV-FULLHD tv reviews

kitchen appliance reviews Sceptre 32" 1080p Widescreen LCD HDTV - X32BV-FULLHD
I was somewhat skeptical when I saw it in the store, but I looked at the specs and found them to be better than most of the other 1080 HDTVs, even though it was cheaper than any of the 720's. I bought it, set it up, and hooked it up to my blu-ray player, and it was flawless. I was happy to find a screw driver as well as component inputs (most TV's only come with analog, and I've never seen anything come with a quality philips head). I was thoroughly impressed.

Vizio 47" 1080p LCD HD TV - VO47L FHDTV tv reviews

kitchen appliance reviews Vizio 47" 1080p LCD HD TV - VO47L FHDTV
I bought this in July at BJ's Wholesale Club and I absolutely love it. I did a lot of research before deciding on a Vizio. I currently have it hooked up to a high end blu ray player, and the picture quality is outstanding. I am so happy I did not pay 15% extra or more for a Sony or Samsung, and also, it is fun for me to support the new kid on the block!
2 Big thumbs up!

Vizio 42" 1080p LCD HD TV - VO42L FHDTV tv reviews

kitchen appliance reviews Vizio 42" 1080p LCD HD TV - VO42L FHDTV
This is my second Vizio set. We were so happy with our first set, Vizio was always a contender when we looked for a second HDTV. This set comes with picture in picture, which was a requirement for me. Visio appear to be the only manufacturer that supplies this option in sets in the price range. We are very happy with our selection. And of course the fact that the set comes with one year "in home" warranty makes this a hands down winner! Excellent picture, great contrast. I definitely recommend this tv.

Westinghouse 40" 1080p LCD TV/DVD Combo - VK-40F580D tv reviews

kitchen appliance reviews Westinghouse 40" 1080p LCD TV/DVD Combo - VK-40F580D
This is a very nice model from Westinghouse. The picture is very nice and HD looks great. SD is also acceptably good and better than most lcds I have seen.

Pros:
1080P LCD - Great for Bluray
Adjustments are kept in memory for each input
Backlighting control
Progressive scan DVD player is convenient and looks great
Audio is pretty good
Stylish
USB Memory stick input

Cons:
Needs some tweaking out of the box - but this is acceptable
Black levels are good but not as good as a plasma - a problem for all lcd tvs.

Westinghouse 32" 720p HDTV DVD Combo - SK-32H570D tv reviews

kitchen appliance reviews Westinghouse 32" 720p HDTV DVD Combo - SK-32H570D
I am on my second unit of this TV, after having to ship it back to Westinghouse at my own expense (after taking it to their "authorized repair shop" 75 miles from my house). The DVD player works intermittently, regardless of the age or condition of the disc. The TV freezes when changing channels or volume to the point that you must UNPLUG the TV to be able to turn it back on and resume viewing.

Westinghouse customer service is worthless. They will not work with you at all. Consequently, I will never buy another Westinghouse product.

Do not buy this TV!

Magnavox 32" 720p LCD HDTV - 32MF338B tv reviews

kitchen appliance reviews Magnavox 32" 720p LCD HDTV - 32MF338B
I know my fair share about electronics and technology, especially TV's, and when I was doing research into which models were worth my hard-earned dollars, I have to admit that this one wasn't terribly high on my list. But to my surprise, it's turned out be a great value. The set has got really crisp picture, along with vivid colors, and no distortions whatsoever. The blacks aren't the best out there, but you can't expect the world from a $500 set I suppose. I've come across a lot of review for this exact set with sound issues, but thus far I haven't experienced any myself. It's not terribly loud, but for my purposes, it suites me just fine. I would recommend that if you were placing this TV in a fairly large room, get a sound system to accompany it, and it'll mare than make up for it's shortcomings. I also have the TV acting as my computer monitor, which works perfectly. No complicated set-up needed, and all you need is an extra 1/8'' headphone plug for sound. What not advertised as much is the 1080i playback, which was an added bonus for my PS3, and makes gaming all the more enjoyable. My only complaint actually doesn't concern the TV, but Target. I purchased what I thought was a new model, to only later find out it was old, used, and broken. I've had to jump through hoops to have it replaced because Target would not exchange it or allow me to return it. And I do have to admit, customer service for Magnavox does suck, but if you make fuss, they're sure to get your issues solved. I was told I'd get me new set in 10-15 days. It came in about a week. So a few words to the wise, open the box before you leave the store, in front of the electronics counter. This way there is no way they can claim you damaged the set. And then call the cops on you. And yes, Target called the cops on me.

Sceptre Naga 23" 720p LCD HDTV - Black (X23BV) tv reviews

kitchen appliance reviews Sceptre Naga 23" 720p LCD HDTV - Black (X23BV)
I purcahsed this Television/Monitor for use while deployed to Iraq. I have AFN television, my personal Laptop, and a PSP hooked up to the monitor. It works very well and has a phenominal picture. I am a professional photographer and I edit my pictures on this screen. The clarity and vivid color make the process very easy. The conditions in Iraq are terrible for a TV/Monitor but this one endures very well. It is constantly covered in extremely find sand, tt is exposed to regular power outages and surges, and it gets left on for very long periods of time. It does far better than most of the brand name flat panel TVs the Army purchases for use. I am anxious to see how it survives the trip home. (I purchased a pelican case to protect it during shipping home, although it shipped here in the cardboard box from the retailer.) There are 6 different inputs (including 1-HDMI) and it is very simple to switch from one to another. It has a very intuitive program guide (AFN does not broadcast a program guide, and yet the TV can ID many programs). I don't understand complaints about the speakers at all. They're not the greatest, but for a TV of this size, they're dang good. I saw the warning about hooking both S-video and component up, so I have not done that. The remote is small and simple...which for me is a plus! I don't need all of the complicated buttons that don't do anything. It has all the functions I need. All in all, this is a very good product and well worth the price. A Great Value.

Protron 26" LCD TV- Silver(PLTV26) tv reviews

kitchen appliance reviews Protron 26" LCD TV- Silver(PLTV26)
I have had this LCD TV for 2 years without any major issues.

1) Picture
I use it as my PC monitor and have HD Cable hooked up to it as well. Since it is not 1080p I know I am not getting the best picture from the cable, but pictures on my PC a look fine. Does motion blur a little with sports and car racing.

2) Remote
I see many reviews of people complaining about remotes in general, but to me these are the same people who can't program VCRs (as they said in the old days (90s)-haha). Anyway this remote is very straight forward, one you understand the functions of "Menu" and "Enter"

3) Speakers
Nice looking. Pretty loud. Setting goes from 0 - 100. Its seams 1-30, 30-60,60-100 are fairly distinctive sound levels

4) General appearance - Looks clean. Stand is stylish

5) Size & Wt - Pretty thin and light

6) Inputs - The are on both sides (including speaker output) and have DVI (for computer). Not that there are multiple forms of DVI

6) PIP - Great. multiple size or even split 50/50. Bad thing is the PIP is surrounded by blue line which temperarily burns in.

7) CON - Burn in. Since I use this for PC Monitor, there are many websites that have the majority of the screen stationary. That image will burn in tempararily. So far nothing stays. However, I always make sure my screen saver is working. Also, as a PC we almost never turn this TV off.

8) Recommendation - I bought for around $600 from Sears. I haven't noticed this brand around as much as other newer names like Olevia, Westinghouse, etc. However, I would recommend at price more like $350 or less in today's market. However, you will only find Protron on Ebay, etc since there was a lawsuit between the company and suppliers. Overall this TV has been worth the cost I paid. I hope is last for another few years.
General recommendation when buying from companies like Sear and WalMart - be weary of their specif Brands (just as Kenmore products from Sears). They basically spec out to suppliers and go with the cheapest (which means service sucks unless Sears supports it and you are buying a cheaper made product).
